Hi all,
I have a 1994 discovery 300tdi which my Grandfather owned from new, he then sold it a number of years ago over to France and then I spent months trying the track it down again and eventually managed to buy it back. It was the first car I can remember when I was younger and I always loved the grumble of the diesel and the typical old Disco smell, I had to get it back! I've spent the last year restoring the rear end, welding in the rear crossmember, pillars, arches, side panels and boot floor and it's finally starting to come together now I've painted everything. Only just recently transferred it from the French plates onto the original private plates it use to wear.
It's really useful to get advice from others experience, especially electronics which is not my area!
Here's some photo's of my progress.

Yes, I put a good 3 coats of the solvent based Red oxide primer before the top coats of enamel chassis black.
Nice ... I've been trying to figure out how to prevent rust inside the body.. I'll try this. Thanks. Since you happen to be in the UK would you be kind enough to post the paints and vendor you use. I'm not from around here and still trying to figure out where the good vendors are.

Thanks in advance and all the best with your project.
