First post, so a couple of details

I've got a Series IIA in New Zealand sitting in storage. Belonged to my Dad who drove it from UK to India in the 1960s attempting to emulate First Overland

I've been in the UK for 10 years or so and have acquired a Freelander 2.2 (2007) and more importantly a Disco 2 (2003) which is substancially modified already. The plan is to head off in 2012 and drive back to NZ in the Disco with the wife and 2 small children

I rode from London to Singapore on a BMW 650 Dakar in 2003

What I hoping to do is to pick up some help and guidance on maintenance and preparation for the Disco and at the same time get to grips with servicing my Freelander

I'm based in Blackheath/ Greenwich London

Hello rich' welcome. Have you ever worked in the airline industry? I only ask 'cos I worked with a kiwi once called Richard and he was well into his 'bikes.
