Just a quick hello to the group from sunny Gatwickish.
I have a Freelander 1 with issues, but i got it cheap with a head gasket gone, but with some hard work and a few new spanners the engine now runs as sweet as a nut!!:D

But it seems like everyone hates the 1.8 petrol!!! lol

:welcome2:I have heard of this but never experienced it with mine and I went through some water in it, must of had heavy duty hinges on it:D:D

i heard that if you drive one through water you instantly get a perm and a sticky bottom were your leather trousers get all damp.... might be wrong thou....:p:D

Don't think its gonna be going anywhere at the moment, looks like i missed a crack in the cylinder head during the rebuild and i think ive got to do it all again!!!!
Anyone know if a 2001 rover 75 1.8 head will do the job??
