Hi All, Got the bug again!

Hiya, Sold my p38 2.5dt while ago and miss it, I have the bug again and want another off roader, I would buy a 90 but they arent comfy enough for my girl and child so im opting for a disco, i also need something with a bit of get up and go as ive been used to a 180hp road car for a few months so as you guessed its a v8i with lpg kit (obviously) I have £1500 maximum spending cash, I'd appreciate any advice or pointers as ive no experience of rover v'8s or discos for that matter. thanks alot. Probably the most trouble free of the V8s with the most get up and go. BTW, the engine that is badged as the 4.0 is the same displacement but has the laster GEMS EFi system. IMHO it is worth considering the MegaSquirt with EDIS on the 3.9 if you go with LPG.

Also try and get one with evidence of regular oil and filter changes. The oil ways to the cam are easily blocked with carbon followed by cam lobe wear.

The rest of the vehicle will probably be as rusty as a horse shoe so go prepared for that eventuality as well
