Hi all from a newbee member, any ideas please?

Having just purchased a freelander sport 1.8i (2001) i have a little intermittent problem, I have read about the 3 amigos but its not quite the same.

occasionally just driving along the ABS, HDC (amber only), brake warning lights come on and the speedo stops working, turn the ign off start up and everything is fine again and this could be hours, minutes or days! bloody annoying when it does happen.

other than that everything else seems to be fine, hope i stay pleased with it.

tis probably a failing ignition switch, have a search

Speedo works off one of the ABS sensors, so may be that.

Thanks for that, will try and check those but it has now settled into a routine, Every morning now (without fail) the lights stay on for about 3-4 miles, then if you turn the ign off and restart they go out and dont come back on for the rest of they day. if you try before its covered 3-4 miles they come straight back on?
dosent give the impression of a dodgy ign switch or sensor as they could happen at any time not just first thing in the morning, in theory anyway. getting very annoyed now and beginning to regret buying the thing!
