hi all. kind of rude i know, to start straight out with an annoying question, but a friend has just got a very clean old X - reg 2 door Range Rover V8 on carbs and this thing has been garaged for about the past 10 years hardly ever seeing the light of day and it's like being in a time warp looking at it because its very clean. he was given it by an old friend's family after the old boy who kept this classic so well (only 2nd owner from new) had passed away.
he's currently debating between keeping it for playing offroad in, which we do already in other motors (i'm a PROUD SURF owner btw!!! - probably should've left that bit of info out I guess!!) but due to being so clean he feels he may be better off seeing what he can get for it and get a newer toy for offroading in and let this classic carry on in a more dignified and more appreciated manner.
So, basically, does anyone know a ball-park value of one of these. It's in that horrid beigey-yellow colour, and apart from a few bits of surface rust on the rear screen surround and around the underside of bonnet, a couple of tiny dents and very, very few scratches - oh and the roof lining is sagging in the rear, it is very clean.
