Good morning gents. Long time no nuffin'!
There's a bit of a lack of lanes up here in Lincs, but I did go to tixover in the back end of last year which was streaks ahead of Whaddon.
Is anyone planning to do Santa Pod lanes when they get re-opened this year?

quiet on here of late! Hello Mr V... still not getting out enough I see!

Jai.... Kai is a little confused about which parts (if any) you need back from the axle.... could you clarify for him please.

Aye up folks!! where you all been hiding?

I've been busy hunting out the tin worm. Replaced front body mount and headlight box, got both sills to do then rear wheel arches and the dreaded boot floor. I suspect the rear cross member will also need doing. Will keep me out of mischief for a bit!

Kai is a little confused

Hahaha ain't we all!!

Anyway as there was still some daylight left I have investigated one of me sills, the good news is the inner sill and top are actually pretty good, so have capped the new 100x60 box section, dressed the welds with the angry grinder and hope to put some metal back in at the weekend.

Nice to hear from you Spyderman!

Rust repairs in progress, look Ma, no doors! - this could take some time. Anyway, first new 100 x 60 box section sill is in, works great, tested it out with hi-lift.

I have cut out the rear wheel arch completely, some fabrication needed there! Lastly, passenger side sill, A post and outer wheel arch. All I can say is it's great to have a big barn for a workshop.

Hey up Kev!

Looking good and fitting some box section far stronger than the naff sills you buy from paddocks!! cant wait to see it all finished!!

Had myself a productive day. Managed to make a dash with a starter button and some warning lights!!

Also made a start on a battery mount to hold my battery box as low in the rear tub as possible to keep the weight as low as poss. (cheeky some bastid already mentioned lowering the seat base))!!!! LOL!

Run out of metal to stick together so I left it half welded up awaiting some 3 x 50 mm angle to complete.

Started on mounting the cut out switch which sounds alot easier than it is! It must be located somwhere easy to reach by the driver when held back in your harnesses, when inverted on its side or any other interesting position. It must be a nice run for the Main battery and ign cables. It must be situated so I can run 2 bowden cables from either side of the motor to comply with regs incase for any reason the driver cannot cut the engine a marshall or official can get to either of the sides to kill the engine and electrics.

So proigress was made today which is good.

Must get more grinding discs another 50!
Must get some HD battery cable,
Must get some angle,
Must get some wire retaining clips various sizes!!

Brilliant day out today at Roundhill. Won the punch event, got all of them.

June 16/17th next one.

Pub on Wednesday fellas.
