I went down there last night in my Ranger, the only mod on mine so far is a set of offset Wellers with 32x8" M/T's. It was very dry compared to the last time I saw it back in early March. There was one deeper 'puddle' that came over my running boards. I was quite glad 'cause I was on my own and I'm a newbie to Laning. I've really got the bug now, so if I can tag along with you guys next time you're out, I'd really appreciate it. Cheers Si

Welcome mate.

You're more than welcome to join us both laning and at our pub meet 1st Wed of the month, if you're coming laning all that we ask is you have front and rear recovery points, jate rings are perfect, tow ball on the back is OK too.
Not a great idea to go out laning on your own, especially Violets Lane, if things go wrong there you're really in the ****. I wouldn't do that one alone and I'm nuts. Always best to have someone with you.

Thanks Spyderman, I know Violets Lane can be trecherous, but it was really dry down there. I wouldn't have done it alone if it was like it can be. Especially as I haven't fitted a Snorkel yet. It was one hell of a rush at the end knowing that I'd done it though.

I'd be very happy to come along to the pub, which one and what time.
And pm me when you're out and I'll do my best to meet you.
Cheers Simon

I'm melting. It's 38c here, full sun and almost 4pm. Home tomorrow night for a bit of the cold stuff.

I am sure that as a devoted Herts Laning type person I speak for all of us when I convey our heartfelt commiserations to you. Returing to these wet and wiondy shores may turn out to be a bit of a culture shock after suffering, as you have, such hardships over the last couple of weeks.:D:D

I'll miss the food for sure. Last night went out for dinner, sea bass, pork curry, greens, rice, 3 large beers, £8 for 2 of us all in.:D
