I'm free this weekend, plus off between Christmas & New Year too.

Fancy organising something Sunday about 11am kick off ?

I've a xmas party to go to on Saturday night and xmas shopping during the day so Sat would be no good.

I'm also off from xmas eve through to the 2nd of Jan so a few outings would be great!!

Hi from near Inverness .. Got stuck on the a9 for hours today after a big accident. Apparently it was on the news. Felt quite smug having my bed in the back and all that :D:D

Could anyone tell me why my 90 is gutless for the first 30 seconds of driving and cut out once when left for an hour. Tried defender section and only reply was it could be the lift pump. It runs perfectly apart from this. Had lift pump six months ago. I know this is the wrong section but I also know there are some experts on this thread.

Trust me it is ****... took me half an hour to log on to this site - keyboard is a joke... touchscreen is next to useless. twenty minutes to get any sort of map on the screen and then it was USA! FFS!

Its easier n quicker on me Blackberry....

Another solution required I think.... I won't be buying one of those things in a hurry!

Assuming you checked everything on the orignal thread, it sounds like fuel starvation it could be the lift pump is faulty??

When left over night before you start it in the morning check the pressure on the lift pump lever and report back we will go from there.

If no joy next look at the condition of the fuel lines and connections air might be getting in.

You can also try new glow plugs, they are not expensive and need replacing at some point anyway.

Hope this all makes sense and helps.

Not sure why it cuts out.

My 200 is gutless first thing purley down to being cold once its warmed up its fine. If it cuts out then you obviously have a problem. after its run for a minute its fine.

Does it start first turn of the key my 200 and any good 200 fires instantly. if it turns over a few times and then fires somthing is wrong. 300 is a different kettle of fish.

What engine is it? Tdi 200 300 TD5?

Hi Jai, it's a 300tdi and starts on the button.I'm wondering if I need to let it warm up a bit. Though when it cut out I'd been out driving, parked it up for an hour. Pulled away and just stopped. Took a few times of turning it over to get it started. If it was lift pump wouldn't that effect normal running.
