You got the 4.0 or the 4.6 going back in Discostew38?

It had the 4.0 gems engine in it
But the one I have (was saving it for the discovery) is the. 4.6 Thor engine
I'm still not sure weather to fit the Thor engine and run it off a megasquirt ecu
Or just swop over the gems stuff to the Thor motor
For cost il probably swop the bits over

Can't help you with that. Im hoping to convert a 3.5 carb to efi, I got all the bits and going to rebuild the 3.5 at the same time.

What one of the EFI are you converting it to
Is the flap type AFM as fitted to RRC or what they call the hot wire AFM as fitted to TVR and I think disco 1
I believe the hot wire one is a lot better I bought an engine some time ago and the guy sold me that system with it and I think you only had to connect a couple of wires up for it to run

It's the 'flapper' type system, I got a re programmed ecu and Jag AFM going on my Rangy then got a spare system that will go in the CCV when it's built, people prefer the 'hot wire' and it's supposed to be better but that means they fetch a premium where as the flapper system is cheaper to buy.

As it happens I've got a janspeed turbo conversion from a range rover classic in the shed and it did cross my mine to fit it to this
But the turbo mounts on the o/s of the engine and on the P38 the engine is off set to the o/s so there no room for it

Where's the ford in much hadham I was delivering round there Friday and I don't remember seeing any signs for a ford
