When mt turbo packed up in Kazakhstan it was howling like a banshee and all other cars were pulling over thinking it was a police or fire truck .

Yes it maybe subjective and opinion based,
We have both and I would agree the 322 is nicer to drive. But it doesn’t mean I think the P38 is a bad drive:D

Two totally different cars apart from the age difference:)

That's just your opinion. It's quicker, but the ride is less compliant and the seats are typical German park bench hard, then you have Blackpool illuminations in the dash. I have been in/driven an L322 a few times and certainly wouldn't have one as a gift especially given the electronic problems.

It's not a case of knowing best, as I said, but you clearly misunderstood, whether it's a better drive or not is subjective and a matter of opinion. In your opinion it's better, in mine it's not, it's uncomfortable and plays havoc with my back.
It is certainly not a better drive when the electronics start to play up and it becomes undrivable.

Yes true, but having driven almost every type of Land rover ever made. My opinion counts a little. P38 was much better than previous models and the L322 is a better drive than anything else Land rover i have driven.
 
Can I ask why you two Gentlemen go at each other every now and again?
Is it because there’s no tech issues to get your teeth into?
Or are you actually really good mates and it’s just..... well you know how best mates can be type thing?

I like the L322 the TD6 would appeal if the Box was a bit better.

But one area is the seating position that just doesn't appeal, especially if yer long in the leg and want to drive a fair distance, the seats are more ergonomic in such a way you can adjust it to some very unusual angles :eek::D

P38 is much comfier, in that the seats are softer and its more of a squishy cruiser :D:D
