Engine will be mounted as close to the bulkhead as possible to gain room at the front.
Pictures robbed from elsewhere, But shows how close it is to front crossmember.

Mpg should be good, But that depends how heavy my foot is feeling and how much stuff I bolt to the engine

Nice and snug that would be good with a one piece flip forward bonnet and wings

I hadn't even considered the exhaust. Have you planned what is happening with that?

His are you going to hook up PAS? Your gonna want it with. 700kg over the front axle!!

Yep, Sure is, Front flips not for me, But hopefully I wont have to do much work on the engine once it's in.

Exhaust shouldn't be to bad, Fit's down side of the chassis rail I believe. So just a case of sending it where I want.

I will connect the PAS, Just need a pressure reducing valve as the cummins pump kicks out to much pressure than the lr one

So today I decided to split the engine and box, To make it easier to move about on my own more than anything, Although it's still a c*nt.
Will check the clutch while its out as well.

Decided I want to paint the block and give the engine a general tart up.
The original plan was to make the engine fit first, Remove it, Paint it up and refit.
But I can't afford a new chassis at the mo.
So until I can afford one I want to do as much as I can without spending to much.
So I'll do it now.
I don't know how far I'll take the strip down as yet, But decided to start with the exhaust manifold, Starter and alternator.

Well that didn't go to plan did it
Sheered 4 manifold bolts.
To be honest I did expect it.
Looked like they'd never been touched and rusty as f*ck.
So I either drill and try to use an easyout or drill and tap. Not sure which yet.

I think you're mad (in a good way), those engines pulled well in a loaded 45 so a little 90 should be a right rocket.

Keep in mind that they were detuned for the DAF 45, there'll be way more power available with pump and turbo adjustments.

Looks like you have a Bosch IP so would run veg if you feel the need.

Are you going to remove the air compressor, or do you have a use for it in mind ?

Hold some nuts on the broken studs and plug weld them to the remains, the heat will help loosen them up and give you a good chance of getting them out with a spanner

Yeah, There will be a few power upgrades I think How many depends how flush I am. (short arms deep pockets )

Going to keep the compressor and run air assist clutch. Wouldn't bother but I've got the compressor already on the engine the air tanks and a **** load of pipe. So might as well for little or no cost.

Good thinking, I anyways assume the worst and thought bollocks I'll have to drill and tap them forgetting I own a welder.

if you're welding make sure you ramp the heat right up

What size are the manifold studs/bolts Aaron, I've got an m8 Time Sert kit you're welcome to borrow if needed.

I have an M6 helicoil set you could use

Well this was what was in the box
Could have quite easily left the bushes as I usually would but thought I'd bite the bullet and buy a press.
The instructions was worse than useless. Started building it and seemed very unsturdy. But once it was all bolted together it seems very solid.
So made me slightly happier.
So if anyone wants any bushes pressing in or out your more than welcome to come and use it . Well it might as well get some use as I wont use it to often.

Pressed all the old bushes out. One radius arm bush took 10t before it went with an almighty bang.
Rest was about 5-6t. Easy peasy

Not showing 10t but thought it'd let go earlier.

So with the bushes out I gave them a quick wipe with brake cleaner and painted them.
