I have a Discovery Series II (2001) model ES auto (Rory to his friends!)
He has recently has a power steering fault which was rectified with a new hose, but now other things are coming into play which worry me.

Sunday morning - when about to set off for 500 mile round trip, towing one way! - both the 'M' and the 'S' gearbox lights were on and flashing as well as a flashing D in the digital display - all of which the book said pointed to an elec fault in the gearbox. We didn't go. The following day this appears to have rectified itself.

Now I am very occasionally losing all revs and power.

Help! Also, when parking by reversing up my drive, the fan is left hard at work when I walk away. Is this normal?

I'm really scared of taking this to the local LR dealer as I have heard tell of all sorts of stories bamboozling females into trading in.........

Can anyone reassure me and point me in the right direction of what may be the problem please?

The lottery? ha! I'd be driving a Range Rover DB's if I had won the lottery .......stuff the 7 year old Disco.....but as I haven't been that lucky - or have that much loose cash about me, please can anyone help?!!!!

Oh and I want a bit of sponsorship to buy a hot air balloon (nice, easy way to write off tax on marketing/advertising!!!) Anyone got a spare 10k???????????????????

Can't be any help personally lol, sorry. give it til tomorra evening, this lot usually pounce upon a damsel in distress before you could say "greenlane"
I'm sure you'll get an answer in the morning lol.

post where you are from Elaine and someone is sure to know of a local independant female friendly garage that wont try to tell you the faults are all due to the ash tray being full (and wanting to charge you a grand to empty it)
