Help

Hi all. Newbie here. . I recently purchased a second hand td4. 2 sets of problems so far.

Number 1.
3 windows don't work. The drivers side and 2 back windows. Nothing from the drivers window no noise, nothing. The 2 back windows go down but sound like they are chewing stones but don't go up.

Second problem.
Windscreen washers don't work. No noise from the motor when pulling the stick, but window wipers go. The rear window wash works fine, you can here the motor going at the front when you press the rear washer button but no noise when you do the windscreen washer.
Is there 2 separate motors for rear and front?

Any help would be hugely appreciated

On the washers front it’s usually only one motor that goes in reverse for the rear washer jet, so you probably have no feed to the motor for the front , check your fuses and wiper switch,

I have checked the fuse for the windscreen wash and it seems fine. The stalk seems to work as the window wipers start doing when I pull the stalk towards me

It still could be the stalk, easiest to put a probe to the motor and pull the stalk if it lights up then you can discount the stalk, but the feeds to the motor will change polarity depending on rear washers or front so make sure when using the front washer that you are getting a earth as well as a live feed,

Probably needs new cables, which is a common issue on most modern vehicles.

Just needs a new motor for the front washer. There are separate motors for front and rear.

Where do I get the front pump from I have typed into Google and don't really know what I am looking for? Also the same for the cables?

I'd use ebay to be honest.
I believe the part number is DMC100550, so search for that.

Again, ebay is a good source for window cables, regulators or whole assemblies.
