Hello everyone i am thinking of swaping my defender td5 chassis to a galv one and wanted to know if there was anyone in bradford who would be able to help me in a few months time to do the job? or someone who could help me for a few days to show me how to go on pref someone who's done it before?
I can get access to a 2post lift to make the swap alot easier, many thanks lee.

only if they look poor , the one running back down the chassis usually needs replacing,as may the 2 front were they go to the flexi

If there is anyone in the Bradford area who's willing to help me for 2 or 3 days then pm me please? cheers lee

Anyone in west yorkshire willing to give up a few days to show me hpw to go on? will pay you obviously? please get in touch.
Cheers lee

I booked my 90 TD5 into the place at Richards Chassis in Swinton, I would like to have done it myself but no room, so I am biting the bullet.
I heard they are OK.

Shame that mate because maybe we could of helped one another out here as i can get use of a 2post lift to lift body off in one go

if you don't find someone and have a few months....I would be tempted anyway to clean off the chassis to be able to see all the fixings learn where they are and over time undo and do each one back up replacing where necessary....you could prep up the chassis eg brake lines if you have or can find the space so whether you have the help or not in the end the swap over is as sweet as possible...perhaps a couple of rubbish axles
could be obtained to keep it rolling...

just a thought.....good luck, it'll be a nice feeling when its done...what chassis are you using Marsland or Richards

I've done it before with a TDi, it isn't a hard job. I'm not particularly near though but feel free the shoot me any questions.
