Who is the go to guy to do a galv chassis swap in the south, who does these for a living and has all the equipment to make it a simple process. I am near Guildford. Thanks.

I have no idea, But are you prepared for the cost that will come for somebody to actually do this with all the other bits and bobs that will need doing?
If you are, then I am sure moving the search further away (cheaper labor rates) may easily cover the cost of transport, so dont confine your search.

Are you in a position to do any prep?

Good luck and we will require pics you understand :).

Safari Engineering are not too far from you and have a very good reputation.

A friend sends his TD5 to Frog Island near Hungerford as their hourly rate is very competitive and he's always happy with their service.

Or, if wanting to save an arm and a leg have you thought of doing this yourself as a winter project? Buy new chassis and build up with all new components. Txfr engine, gearbox, txfrbox, axles et al...and out with the old chassis. Prep' under body, roll new chassis under body, line up and bolt together. It's only big boys meccano...

Worth checking out your local independent Landy specialists. Mine does quite a few chassis changes but doesn’t advertise it.

Hi

Bought a 300tdi alternator(as they had it in stock) from "More 4x4 Limited" near Bordon/Alton. Garage seemed very busy with Defenders and their online photo album shows a 90 with a new galv chassis.

Don't know them othervise, Reputation or prices. The location is nearby Guildford, Southwest direction. So you could add them to list of places to get a quote from
