Help - welding needed - Essex

I have a black Discovery TD5 MOT failure in need of urgent help - welding needed on rear chassis - MOT guy basically has butchered it with a hammer

and a couple of patches on the front of the chassis.

Can anyone help me in Essex or Suffolk?

I don't know if Pressbrake could help (south Essex)
Matthew2Riches also does welding (Suffolk).
Or maybe buy a mig and get practicing on some scrap.

Who has touched it with a hammer? Wasn't the greatest idea by the sounds of it!

exactly - and im told MOT guys are not supposed to hit it with hammers.......i have the car looked at regularly by a land rover specialist who undersealed the lot of it and it was not in a bad state before

you do welding Matthew? Discodad mentioned you do

Ive found out the chassis arm is £70, then just a case of welding it on

TBH if its thin enough to break with a hammer then it should be done. You could be pulling 3.5T on a tow bar attached to it.

MoT tester will have a toffee hammer. You say it is looked at regularly? Surely they wouldn't have undersealed a rotten chassis leg though? Rot doesn't happen overnight to the point that you can put a hammer through it
