Help sunroof dont know where it is

:(:(:(:(Can you help me i am having problems resetting my sun roof.If i lock the car up and hold the lock button the sun roof opens about 3 inches then thinks its closed. I have tried to take it through the fully open and fully close but it stops at the same place every time and i have to re push the button to start it again and compleat the movement. When you reed the book it says that it should fully open then fully close in one go. Also when i lock it and the roof opens 3 inches the car is happy but if i close the roof it says on the dash board sun roof open. If any one lives in chatham in kent and can help please let me know.:doh::doh::doh::doh:
 
take the light console off and you will see a winder, close sunroof and then turn this to see if it gets it back to where it should be!
 
When you say close do you mean close or put it where the car thinks it is closed. When you say remove lite do you mean light above head.
 
:):):) I am fine just read my question and thought how stupid it sounded can see why you boys would find it funny i would if it was not me.:doh::doh::doh: Thanks anyway i will have a look and see if i can sort it. Buy the way i think this forum is the muts nuts.:):):)

Funniest thing was the thread title 'Help sunroof dont know where it is ' its usually in the roof space lol
 
Tried what you told me now it just goes to the tilt position and stops there. i have closed it loads of times using the manual winder but still no luck returnes to the tilt position every time.:doh::doh::doh::doh:
 
Tried to do so many things forgot what i did do. but i am sure i opened it fully but not sure i carried on to close it.
