Help removing Watts Linkage

Hi all,

I tried to get the main bolt off but lying under the car, simply didn't give me enough leverage.

Does anybody know whether there is a ramp / lift I could use or hire in the Northants area, ideally with a press so I can do everything in one go?

Also as an aside the I have two LPG tanks behind the axle and hopefully have just enough room to extract the bolt, any experience/thoughts would be useful.

Thanks

I did mine recently , I reversed up onto my ramps which gave me enough room to get an 18" bar on the socket . I braced my feet against the wheel and heaved . I weigh 100kg and spend a lot of time in the gym and it was bl**dy hard going. Once the centre one was off the others were easier.

I have twin lpg tanks where the fuel tank was and I had to raise the rear to get enough clearance.

Cant help with the press though , (you will probably need one) I was lucky and could get access to one at work.

good luck
Andy
