hi all
help advice please
need to get into disco td5 batt flat no key for door
any ideas please
did manage to back feed power before from live feed off compressor unit,
not wanting to work this time
many thanks

If you have the old door lock barrel, they are really easy to change over, then at least you can unlock and also be able to enter the EKA code if required in future.

Cheers

yes still have old door just not got round to swopping handle over yet.
was thinking .must be able to use another permanent live feed wire to back feed like last time
could I use tow hitch wiring plug ?

Might sound a bit drastic but if all else fails and you have the old door, couldn't you pop the window and replace the glass from the old one? Cover the window in tape or sticky-backed film first to save on mess.
And change the barrel at the same time!

There is a permanent connection to the battery from the 12S trailer socket, that's the grey secondary one.
Pin 4 is the +12 volts and pin 3 is the earth. This circuit is fused at 5 Amps.

If you can't hook a charger anywhere(you should be able to reach the starter's main lead) then remove the tail door's window cos only a new seal will be needed to refit it)... if you dont have the caravan socket with the permannent live in it you can find it behind the rear RH lamp C1481 pin 6...you can give a feed there

yes tried starter motor option .
batt on car must be dead dead.
can try rear light option later today
failing that window, is a quick option.
at least then i can disconnect batt charge it

Giving external feed from a strong source(another well charged battery) should give enough power to unlock with the fob even if the main battery is dead

May seem stupid,

But you have checked the fob battery is good haven't you? the little red led in the fob does light up.

Cheers

yes tried both key fobs ,got good batt,s in both
as to second batt use-ing 110 as power source .
could i have blown a fuse or tripped anything out .when i back fed power last time ?

You need to get a jump lead onto the starter motor live feed, & scratch up a good earth on the engine or body & leave it connected to another running vehicle for ten mins. The fobs should kick back in.
