Bleeping when trying to lock means something is being registered as open or ajar. Door, bonnet, tailgate.

Sounds like an electrical gremlin. Check that everywhere that should be dry is, fuse boxes, carpets boot etc. Depending on the year and engine, I do recall there being a water ingress problem in the boot area, around the autochanger/sat nav units.

We need to know what engine and year really but general rule of thumb is white = coolant/excess water vapour. Are the levels ok or have they needed to be topped up?

I remember when white smoke could also be the brake servo diaphram failure, engine used to draw brake fluid into the inlet manifold.;)

oh god really? i have been out again today and nothing since... put my foot down from cold and nothing??? very strange its a 2012
RANGE ROVER Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 now my screen has gone off great!

If it has any warranty left on it get it booked in asap before you fiddle with things, less chance of landrover saying you've done something to it. Check the dvd/sat nav unit in the boot, loose connector or moisture.
