help needed desperatly disco v8 juel pump hoses

hello fuel pump has blown up,i,ve removed it but when doing so snapped one of the olive off so now i have 2 fuel hoses which connect too the pump but one with a olive rusted solid on it,any ideas how to release or does anyone know how the pipes run down to the filter?do they leave the pump seperate and join together at the filter?i have a pump on the way should i order the hose just in case.any ideas much appreciated craig

Sounds like the metal fuel pipes are well and truly on their way out corrosion wise. I think I would be replacing them now before you end up with an awkward mess to resolve when you don't need it.

There is a good chance you won't get the fuel filter off either if the unions are corroded, so get a filter as well.
 
iv,e just felt has far as i can and the rubber hoses from the pump run seperatly on top of the tank,where do these hoses exit are they easy to get to/replace i,ve heard of people using rubber fuel hose instead of pipe?

Yeah that's par for the course, I have rubber hose sections on my Range Rover because the metal pipes rotted out. It is a bit of a fiddle to get the pipes out but if you are replacing the pump and the unions have corroded I would certainly be looking at replacing the pipes and as mentioned before, the chances are you'll not get the fuel filter off without chewing up the pipe so replace that as well.
