you got me wrong there mate i stated that water does flow freely from bottle to jet it just doesnt hit the windscreen as i think the holes have been tampered with to much .i was also wondering if it would be worth while putting a few new ones on the bonnet or am i breaking landy rules?:doh:
 
i assume you have used a pin in the jet hole to adjust the angle/direction at which the water comes out at ?

yeh i have done that so its a new jet wash before i write some one off whilst driving with a salt baked windscreen!why oh why is it not a straight forward clip off here clipoff there job ?or is this what comes with a defender:mad:
 
Defender washers actually work perfectly fine so anything less than a decent squirt of water onto the screen regardless of speed means you have a problem that need to be sorted, just saying " Defender washers are useless" and ignoring it is a cop out.

Blocked / kinked pipe is possible as is clogged motor or defective nozzle.
Access to the nozzles is dead easy by removing the dashboard top-rail, shouldn't take more than 10-minutes at most. If you have the early single-jet nozzles then consider replacing them with a pair of the later twin-jet nozzles as this will double the amount of water hitting the screen and the standard pump will cope just fine. If you have a single twin-jet nozzle in the centre of the bulkhead then the holes exist to allow you to fit a pair of them, one each side. I did this conversion to my 90 12-years ago and it is really effective.
 
took top dash off and replaced jet wash [fan shaped twinhole] and eureaka!i have water hitting windscreen with force .sorry if i annoyed anyone with my petty request but im not mechanically minded and nowive managed this i could maybe do an engine change:D NOT!thanks again for being sort of patient
