Hi everyone,

I am sorry but I will need your brain power and knowledge once more! My wife badly damages both front side seat belt by slamming the door on both of them. The belt was not retracting well.

Anyway I would like to invest on a new pair of belt but I am struggling with the part number!!!

I own a Japanese Sold (I am in Japan) P38A 4.6 HSE build in 1995. The garage where I usually go gave me the following part number:

EVB00060LNF
EVB00070LNF
(both side)

But no body on the web seems to know or find these parts. I contacted another merchant and I have been told that I need these ones instead

LH EVB103870LNF (Same part for JP, UK and so on)
RH EVB103860LNF

But before buying them I want to make sure I will not be screwed (shipping to Japan and returning parts is annoying), so I need your help to sort this out!

Now I am sure you could tell me to have a look at the belt for the part number, but unfortunately the numbers are no longer visible. Also I need the no-Pretensioner models

My guts tell me that indeed the one I have been quoted are the correct one (see here for example Allbrit.de - Ersatzteile für LAND ROVER & MG ROVER) but I really want to make sure that they are the good ones.

Thanks

-- EDIT --

In the worse case it is apparently possible to "reweb" belt http://seatbeltsolutions.com.au/services/rewebbing/ or https://www.seatbeltplanet.com/webbing-replacement/ has anyone heard about this or at least try? This will imply that my car will be stranded for 2 weeks but it may worth checking if it is indeed a good solution

So I am basically FXXX... EVB000060LNF & EVB000070LNF are no where to be seen

Also what is the difference between the EVB000060LNF and EVB103870LNF series? Both are up to WA410481 and my car is MA314149. And both are no pretension belts.
Granted the schema look different at one hand, but does that mean the later cannot be used?

Seatbelts in many newer vehicles are also equipped with "pretensioners" and/or "Webclamps".

Pretensioners preemptively tighten the belt to prevent the occupant from jerking forward in a crash. Mercedes-Benz first introduced pretensioners on the 1981 S-Class. In the event of a crash, a pretensioner will tighten the belt almost instantaneously. This reduces the motion of the occupant in a violent crash. Like airbags, pretensioners are triggered by sensors in the car's body, and most pretensioners use explosively expanding gas to drive a piston that retracts the belt. Pretensioners also lower the risk of "submarining", which is when a passenger slides forward under a loosely worn seat belt. An alternative approach being looked at by major car companies is the CG-Lock technology whereby the occupant is held in position via the lap belt in order to prevent the passenger from coming out of position in the event of a crash[citation needed]. Some systems also pre-emptively tighten the belt in fast accelerations and strong decelerations even if no crash has happened.

I can make some calls for you on Monday and find out but I'd imagine you could just fit standerd ones , but I'm not upto date with the laws of your country .

If you do not mind it will be really helpful! I sent an email to Emmotts Of Colne to check what they have too.

Indeed beside one part of the anchor (picture here Screen Shot 2013-07-28 at 7.07.45 PM.png) they look the same. Also it happens that with years manufacturer replace parts with new generations.

Ideally new ones... for used one I am looking for good ones : no rust, no scratch on the belts, I can understand the the part fixed on the top of the B Pillar may have aging / cracking plastics (like mine), and obviously retracting I do not want my wife to ruin them the first week! :p

Not sure about that, when a side airbag went off in mine and I had the seat apart I could find no connection to the SRS for the pretensioner. Perhaps it's self contained and has a feed to the BECM from the reel?.
Need to check RAVE

I do not have pretention on my car!!! So it won't be a problem for that ;-)

I am sending you a link with the VIN in a few sec, again thank you for checking!
