Help modding

Hi there i bought a 1996 Disco a few months ago and for xmas got a years membership to off road club so let the modding comense! Firstly i have bought some steel wheels 205wide and got some new mud tyres for it. Is there anything else that should be done next? i fancy a roof light bar but to run 4 powerfull lights is there anything you need to do for the wiring and will the alternator be ok? thanks for all help cant wait to get muddy

See what the club says as to what mods might be eligible for whatever trials/events they run. Many want close to stock, many others let you do almost anything you want!

As well as goonarmys excellent points, I'd suggest just making sure it runs properly, is serviced well and bits aren't likely to drop off it. Don't buy ****-loads of stuff to bolt on until you know what you want to do after you've had a few off-road trips. Some people want to compete in challenges, safaris, trials, or not compete, just play, or green-lane .. and all would demand different kit, though there are many cross-over items.
