help me

have put an efi in my 3,5 defender and it wont start. have got all the basics that an engine needs to run ie, it turns over, got a spark, got power to the injectors, swapped the fuel pump over from a disco to get the fuel pressure. just wont fire. please help

I think a bit more info is needed.

1 DO A SEARCH.
2 Is it flapper or hot wire?
3 Is your timing right?
4 Is it flooding?
5 What have you actually tried/tested?
6 Have you checked all the earth points, especially the injection loom.
7 Are you sure you have wired the efi system correctly.

This may be a stupid question but have you got any petrol in it?

As already mentioned above plus :-
The ECU you are using..... was it
1) tested as OK and running that engine B4 you did the transplant
2) from an auto box or manual setup
plus
3) are you sure you have got the firing order correct?

Or it could be the usual immobiliser spider fault? I know on mine that it would crank and show a spark, but apparently when the plug is back in the cylinder, there is not enough voltage to fire the engine.

the engine ran in the disco just before i took it out, it is definatly an imobiliser problem just got to figure out how to bypass it.

spider is first port of call secound would be a wire test from the ecu to all the circuts coman to miss a wire when doing it i have on a couple of occasions when doing this mod for customers
