Hello to all ... I appeal to all those who have the p38 and know how to solve various well-known problems of this range. Let me explain ... I have a dear friend who has a 4600cc and a few days in this part of the remote started to not work ... That would not open ... Then he opened the door with the key the driver, and automatically opened the other door. Then this morning morning went to take the Range, opens it with the key and opens only the driver's door. entered the immobilizer as the light engine cek not appear. At this point the car does not want to start over. What is there to do????
sorry for my bad english...

Sounds like the battery is low and/or the BeCM and the Engine ECU have lost synchronisation.

The BeCM and the Engine ECU have a code loaded into them and this code needs to match for the car to start....often with the petrol models, the code is lost in one of the units....using either diagnostics or a SyncMate tool from Blackbox Solutions, you can reset this code and allow the vehicle to start.

Has your friend tried to enter the EKA code into the door lock in case it is the fact the car hasn't been opened on the press of the fob button..??

It does sound like it's still immobilised.
Only one door is opening on the key, & until all four doors unlock either by key or fob input, the immobilser will keep the ecu from communicating, hence no check engine light or crank.
You need to check the fobs are illuminating the fob led when pressed. Use the EKA code or resync fobs until all the doors, or all the working doors unlock.
