Discovery 2, locked out ,key fob battery ok tried key in door lock just spins only one key lock on car drivers door. I reckon flat battery or electrical fault due to leak. Need to get into car to pop bonnet/check battery fuses. Does anyone know of any way of gaining access into the car, fail safes etc? Much appreciated.

See if you can get to the starter motor terminal. If so you can apply power via that.

He'll be buggered if he's left it in gear and then turns over the starter...under the disco,trying to find the starter terminal,hopefully.

If you are an RAC or AA member you can call them and they will open your car for you. Expect them to ask you to I.D yourself. You may have to have the ' At home ' membership package though to get this help. (presume your vehicle is at your home address) My better half managed to lock her Focus with the keys in the ignition when she was at a garden centre..... called the RAC who turned up quite quickly and opened the car no problem. Does anyone remember the little magnetic tin that you could buy to hide a spare key under your car years ago ?
