help. fuel and temp stop working when heater on

So we are down in lands end ready to do Lejog.

On the way down we hit this issue.

When the heater goes onto the second click, and well sometimes the first , the temp and fuel gauge die after about 2 mins.

After turning the heater off the guages start to work again after about 2 mins.

Where would I start looking? Eek

Nothing else goes off. Fuses OK.... No fun smells.
Ahh when the dials stop the indicators stop working as well!!!??? Ffs.

99% of the time its down to earths, Check those behind binnacle. Doubt youve got a short or fuses would be blowing.

Thank you for the reply. We have directly wired the heater to a dash switch and will see what that does so its not pulling power from the main circuit or using the standard earth.
