Help!! Engine Disabled

Hi,

After my crap day of someone crashing into me, I am now stuck in a shell garage!!

Filled up, paid for fuel passenger lock her in, came out pressed remote wouldn't open she let me in - now it says engine disabled press remote but nothing happens!

Pressing remote doesn't even lock car tried eka code still nothing, tired other two keys as well!!

Help! Please!!

My '97 is playing up like that at the moment. It left me stranded in Lincoln on Christmas eve but after about an hour it all came good again for no apparent reason. Did the same in Tescos this morning but came good again after about 5 mins. I've been researching the site this afternoon and it looks like the problem is the old RF receiver which I still have fitted. I have recently disconnected the aerial but looks like the box is still being swamped with stray signals. Need to get the new model RF box in the new year.
If my theory is right then I imagine that diconnecting the RF box for a few minutes and then reconnecting it will probably let you get her started again.

hiya mate, i had similar problem with my p38 a few months ago, filled up with gas only to find disabled message coming up. eventually it started up, from what i can gather it was interference from the airport less than 1/4 mile away. happened again in mcdonalds, same shopping car park, two a few turns of key then started. i dont suppose there was a bit aerial or anything close to where you were parked?

i had exactly the same problems 2 days ago, what i did was done the eka code then put the key in the ignition the key fob flashes and it should sort it out its not happened to me since(touch wood)

I managed to drag it up the road (about 1/2 mile) to my mates last night, didn't work, just tried again after morning at work, still nothing.

I have used that petrol station before and even that pump! Strange.

I have tried the eka code but don't get indicator flash or nothing from dash led.

Try code 1515 before your EKA, for some strange reason it worked on mine. Only other thought it might be time to sync-mate ; https://blackbox-solutions.com/shop/

Did you try the simple door lock resync?

Close the door, lock the door with the key then open while holding the open button on the fob, then lock while holding the lock button. Do this a few times. Then get in and watch the led on the Fob flash as you insert into the ignition barrel. If it flashes once then your syncd and the engine should be enabled and start as normal. If it flashes in quick succession then you need the sync mate.

To be honest I'm not to sure....diagnostics and stuff the some BECM trickery....

He managed to start it within a few mins, then to find out why.....basically it has lost remote key sync.

I'm sure Rick could explain better....but all in all a brilliant service and a decent guy to boot!!
