a couple of days ago i had a electrical melt down "fire" behind the dash of my defender an thanks to the scumbag insurance company wrigglng there way out of repairing it im left to sort it out myself (thanks KGM) as it stands it starts but the rear wiper wash is on constant ,the amp meter ,fuel gauge an temp guage wont work ,also in the center part the clock too with melted wires behind it, an running across thebulk head there is a wire that has been melted im in desperate help/advice as i need my landy more than ever as on friday i loose my works van through redundancy

thanks in advance

Some of the parts that dont work are probably down to blown fuses. But before you go and replace them, you do need to find out why it caught fire, and fix that and any damage it has done to other wiring.

If you're not confident in fixing the wiring yourself, do as man hat man says. Put your rough location in your user profile. You might get lucky if there are people in your area who can help you.

Well that's miles away from me.

Maybe post some pics. But it sounds like you need someone to take a proper look.
