help dash

hi anyone help ive a s reg freelander ive just put lights etc off a 53 reg td4 ad to mod bits and bobs looks mint but weve dash and clocks out of td4 just wondering if anyone as ever put different dash in coz the clocks in 53 reg are digital milage please can anyone help james

you have to be careful with this. The dash instruments in the earlier models used information direct from the sensors, but the later versions, and I think 2003 was the break year, use the can-bus system and rely on a data stream from the ecu.

I think it was clutchdust who first told me of this, do a search from about 2 years ago and you should find the info.
