Have you been near a mobile phone mast? my key was wiped out by one. you can reprogram the system by entering the code using the key in the ignition barrel, turning it a set number of times in each direction. it should tell you how to do it in the handbook. Worth a try.

Most (Good) key fob alarm systems change the code each time they are used
and they need to be kept in-sync by 5 or 6 codes, this allows for accedental key presses.
As Spyderman says there is usually a re-sync process involving putting the key in the ignition and pushing some buttons.
The manual or the local dealer or Disco boys should know.

having a quick google i found the following
Pressing either of the buttons rapidly 5 times resets the code.
or
Insert the key into ignition switch and turned it to "II", pressed unlock long(10sec).

There is a way with the key in the door lock, you like open and lock it 6 times, then unlock and pause for a second, and do it again etc... and it will disable the alarm/immoboliser. The procedure is in the manual, I'll have a look for mine.
