Just bought a 2005 Hardback 1.8, appears to have a few probs, can anyone give me an idea of whats needed to fix?
1. Weep of oil from top end of engine block but no sign of oil in water resevoir, so not sure if gasket is u/s.
2. High beam indicator on dash lights up momentarily when high beam switched on them dims slowly to off.
3. First thing in the morning after about 3 or four mins or when I join the main road and begin to accelarate the emissions sensor illuminates briefly then goes off.
4. Pulling away smoothly can be difficult at low revs and have experienced a 'judder' when revs drop.
5. Various squeaks and rattles from offside, not sure if suspension related as she drives very surefooted and feels planted, may be ill fitting trim.
Despite these faults I still like the Freelander. I bought the car from Arnold Clark and have a years warranty with the car so hope to resolve these issues soon...
Cheers!
