HELP 90 200 tdi conversion

Hi. I have a 90 2.5 TD and am in the middle of re-building a 200 tdi to drop in. One thing i am not sure about is the glow plug timer wiring. Has anyone got a clear diagram of how to wire the timer up.

dont bother. just use the existing wiring and count to 5 before u turn the key. works well for me and saves the expensive relay

when i put my 200tdi in me fender it never needed to heat the glow plugs to start

Yep either dont bother ( as there direct injection ) , or just like Filfan said , fit the original wire and count to 5

While the thing is apart it makes sense to fit a new clutch and release bearing - and while you're there a heavy duty clutch arm is worth fitting to. You don't have to - but how gutted would you be if that was the thing to break 6 months after you'd done the engine swap?

I've had to use the pre-warm recently...has been minus 24 though.

Oh, and do the clutch and release bearing as said...its daft not to.
