Help!! 3rd gear!! (200tdi Defender)

Stupidity aside, I opened up my old box to discover that most of the rim of dog teeth on the 3rd gear has broken off (into 5 pieces). The gears from the donor boxes are the same overall width, but they have a space inbetween the main gear teeth and dog teeth, on the original, the main teeth butt right up against the dog teeth. Everything else in there looks pretty mint to be honest so reluctant to scrap... My plea is this.... Does anyone know A) if the two are compatible (G and D), or B) does anyone have a spare 3rd gear knocking around as I am unable to source one.. Obviously beer tokens and a spare box or two would be thrown in...

(on one of the spare boxes I did replace the synchro slippers which had been chewed up, fitted it, drove up and down the drive, seemingly ok, now both the box and gear stick are stuck in 5th and I cannot budge it)

did you refit the large circlip that goes on the selector shaft just in front of interlock collar
