Hiya,
My name is laura, im 20 and im looking at a landrover defender as a stop gap beast over winter.

ill be asking lots of questions and annoying the hell out of you im sure

well my dad used to take me to all the off road shows from the age of about 5 so its in my blood, my ex has serveral v8 landys and my friends also have some so we used to go offroading with them, unfortunately when i split with said ex it all kinda came to a halt.

i currently drive a cliosport and am lookng to get a audi TT in march so between now and then i want to do winter with style :D

lol sorry im dead set on a TT nothing will sway we these defenders are just not cool enough lol.

well yes they are just in a different way im sure you know what i mean, tbh there will be a point where i have both

im up north, south manchester way.

been looking at a few defenders on PH and the like, i dont like the series ones, they look funny.

im pretty clued up on my landys, strangely so for a girl, we rebuilt one last year from the bare chasis up.

ill be looking at a 90 2.5D i think? they any good? common problems?

Hi there.

If it's a naturally asthmatic you're thinking of, just the usuals to look out for - outriggers, bulkhead, cross members, footwells etc. Engines are pretty bullet proof if looked after, and you can buy ex-army reconditioned lumps complete for a couple of hundred if it is goosed.

Welcome to the looneyzone anyhow - ignore Grunt's shouting, just don't mention Hattie Jacques in his presence ;)

anyone else from up here that does offroading, as the only guys up here that do seem to dislike me and i know would leave me stuck thats for sure

The Stig and his daughter (HotTotty85) live up your way - they're heading of to North Wales soon to rescue another Landyzoner from his sheep worrying :D Seriously, get in touch as they're always out and about - so's BettyBlue, and of course our wonderful forum administrators Accy and Roy in Accrington ;)
