Hello obselete gear linkage

Hi my name is Mellisa and I am new to the forum. I would appreciate any ideas on what to do with my gear linkage for my freelancer. I have been advised the part is obselete. I have tried on eBay however the parts make little difference. What else can i do or use? I really don't want to get rid of my baby.

The gear knob is wobbling side to side I have been advised it needs replacing it's quite rusty . The garage fitted one I purchased from eBay but it has made little difference so they suggested a new one.

Thank you I got in touch with Sebastian and he advised this was not the right part for my car. This is the part I need replacing the code is UKD500300 which is obsolete. I have scoured all the dealers no one has it. The car is really struggling so any other options/advice would be gratefully received.
