Hello, new Landy owner here

Hi all, I am the lucky new owner of a 1986 RHD 90. It’s the 2.5 petrol motor. I know little about them as of yet, but I’m a mechanic by trade and have been an aircooled VW nerd most of my adult life, so I understand that owning and driving an old Defender doesn’t come without some work on my end. Mine is a “grey market” ROW rig that at some point made it into the states.
I’m looking forward to fixing her up a bit and having her be my new daily driver. Cheers.

Yeah I get it! It’s a whole new barrel of monkeys. At the end of day though it’s just nuts and bolts.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Yeah I think she’s quite lovely. It doesn’t hurt that she is almost the same color as my VW bus, I’ve added a pic of her. I really enjoy knowing that the reason my vehicle runs well and gets me to and fro is because of the work and love that I put into it.
