Back into the green oval, just got us another discovery after going a whole months without. Damn that was hell I tell ya.

Figured it was time to be sociable with other people who prefer their 4x4s to be home grown and capable:)

K reg 200 Tdi. 5 door 7 seater. Paid a little rich for it, but its solid, had all the nasties like boot floor, sills, head gasket, windows seals etc already done

She likes it because it is red, however we have come up with a minor issue with it (despite the fact we dont get the keys til 6 tonight). Its just too damn good. Its the straightest, tidiest, cleanest of that age I have ever seen. So with all that and it being red (where do I get the tach manual for women?), she is having doubts about me attacking it with spanners for all the mods I intend.

So back to ebay next month for another I suspect,

1 for playing, 1 for best; why not? :D
:welcome2: to the asylum :D

BTW, please don't tar all wimmin with the same brush; SOME of us appreciate vehicles for much more than just the paint!! ;)

Well its like this you see.....

Mrs B-B does enjoy getting out and about but a couple of hours laning is more her thing than 8 hours doing really rough stuff*. Ever since we got our first disco together she has alway pointed out any red ones and cooed "Oh it looks pretty in that red", so now we have a red one she aint too keen on the idea of it being two-tone mud & dust with scratch highlights :)

My argument will be that a) we shall get her J&£p fixed, and b) when building something to take on the worst nature can throw at it the best possible base is the way to go, rather than a rot box that needs a rebuild from the ground up to just become a starting point.

* Should read 30 mins exploring for the deepest, trickiest mud hole, 4-5 seconds entering said hole, 6 hours digging/pulling the truck out of it, and 90 mins of swearing and demanding coffee.

Edited to add

Soon as I get a bigger workshop 2 (possibly 6) Discos is practically a foregone conclusion :) I can just barely fit a standard disco in the current one, a lifted disco just wont fit in the door

Welcome!
