Hi all, been a long term fan of anything with the LR badge on. Brought up on early Series 3's on Dartmoor. Over the years had a number of Series vehicles, some petrol, one with a 3.3 Perkins that ate halfshafts. One with the Perkins Phaser engine from a Montego which was fantastically economical but Series 2a's don't stop well from 80 mph+. Several Classic RRs some with LPG to try and keep the costs down and latterly a couple of Disco's. Always return to the RR so just bought a 1998 P38 DSE. Yes I know I'm foolish but they have so much presence on the road even when 14 years old. I'm pretty handy with the spanners and an electrician by trade so not worried. It is a joy not to have to get the Mig welder out every five minutes like I had to with the Disco's. Happy to help anyone out who is in SW Devon or Cornwall or further afield if needed.

Regards

Shaun

it will just be nanocom or hawkeye every 5 mins instead

True about the Nanocom but at least I'll be inside the car in the warm for some of the time.:)

I'm trying to drum up support in the RR section of the forum to get 20% discount on buying Nanocom's by putting in a bulk order (need to order at least 10). All welcome to join in!! Look for the "which fault code reader" thread.

Cheers

Hi welcome, am also in Plymouth. I'm in between series 3's at the moment, the 'in between' being a fl :behindsofa:, its not that bad really. It didn't cost me that much and has fully working 4x4 drive train and no hgf yet which is a bonus......
