Hello sorry my English who will be not perfect îm French living in Corsica and mechanic beginner specialised in mercedes w202, but have a friend with an old Freelander 1 year 2001 with jatco gearbox. Here to find many informations for my friend who want to save his Freelander of car breakers.....
The symptoms the reverse had disapear gradually, without any intervention on gearbox.
So he loose all gears , when is cold no gears but after a few minutes drive can engage, but always no reverse...
i have another problem , the speed sensor is always at 220 km/ hour and credite 1 km by 15 seconds on vehicule.....
i have made a diagnosis and abs sensors are out, and speed sensor too.
but where is speed sensor ?
îve tried a flush of gearbox, with no significative results, verifying that don’t touch to anchor band....
so i think that the car think is going at 220km/hour and disable reverse gear...
what do you think can you help me to save this freelander ????
