Hi All,
Almost five years ago, a few of you from this forum (although sometimes chatting on other forums) gave me advice for buying a Rangerover p38. I looked and looked but did not find anything I was 'comfortable' with.
I stopped asking as I thought I would never actually get round to buying one but now I've finally done it.
Thanks to all but especially Gilbert for you information and patience.
The thing I've bought needs some jobs doing immediately (dont they all). The LPG system failed after 30 miles stuck in traffic - but my first priority is the EAS. Given that it had a 30% duty cycle at a stand still and the pump was brand new - i guessed leaks had burnt out the old one and a replacement had been fitted to conceal the problem. I'm also guessing this was an 'ali baba' special. After driving home, the eas motor no longer sounds the same and is running much longer. No one corner seems to sag, so I'm considering starting with a seal kit for the valve block and taking a look at the 'quality' of the pump.
I'm in this for the long run so want to buy diagnostics to cover as much of the thing as possible. Will this also help me identify if one eas valve is open more often than others?
Drilling through this wonderful site, I've downloaded many documents and have a lot to read.
Thanks in advance.
