Hi All,

I thought it would be cheeky to make my first post a post for help, so I will introduce myself to feel a little less guilt before I pick your brains;)

Ive had my 2000 Disco 2 TD5 for 3 years now and its been my first Landy and first 4x4. All I can say is; how the hell I left it so long to get one I have no idea?! I love it. Well, the actual reason is Im only 29 (only - I turn 30 this year!) and the insurance was/is just bloody ridiculous. Still, its so useful and one of the only cars I can fit my 12 stone Bullmastiff in in comfort.

Plus, these last couple of winters have really hit home how great it is. Even the missus has enjoyed it when she gets chance to drive it. I have friends who have Defenders, all types, but I just wanted that little bit more comfort and refinement that comes with the Disco. Plus, in all the time we have been greenlaning/off roading, I still havent been left behind and done everything their defenders have done. Enough said, you all drive landys so I wont go on. Suffice to say, I love it.

I also have a 1965 VW Beetle with race spec engine and other similar mods. I can thrash that to give the disco a break from my heavy right foot. But a few occasions I have called the missus to come get me in the disco as I have blown something on the bug!

Anyway, Im sure I will be chewing peoples ears for advice and maybe sticking my two penneth in every now and again.

Until then, stay cool

Fook me your mutt weigh's more than I do  he/she should fit right in cos this forum is full of fat tw@ts:bolt::behindsofa: ........... :welcome2:to LZ btw

Yeah, he is a big boy alright. You should see him with my two year old daughter. He is the most amazing dog, but anyone who has ever met a Bullmastiff will know how great they are. As soon as my domestic situation improves (bigger house), Ill have two. The Disco boot is one of the only ones that can carry Brian, he either cant stand up, or cant turn around comfortably in most other similar vehicles.

I will post a pic when Im on my PC.

yeah, thats the about the only advantage of living around here. Being near the main roads means the minute the sunshine appears, so do the awesome cars. From dirty great monster hot rods to jap supercars, everyone goes to santa pod.

Im guilty of a few Bug Jams, but Id go again, its a great weekend.
