Hello - Engine variant numpty !!??

Hi All

have had my Ninety for about 7 months now and about to undertake some upgrades - got a LONG list. But whilst lookign through sites etc. it occured to me to DOUBLE check which engine variant i actually had. When i bought it i thought i was getting a TD5 (for some reason - i presume the advert said this? or i subliminally just wanted one - no idea really) but lifting the lid - it ain't a TD5 as far as i can tell (VERY limited knowledge) and when i check the VIN info the 8th digit says 'S' which on an auto VIN checker says '2.4ltr Puma Diese'l but on paper that 'S' on the 8th digit doesn't exist !?!? Anyone able to help !?!?

here's the info i am basing this on from searches on the subject ...

B = 2.5l, 4 cylinder, Turbo diesel
C = 2.5l, 4 cylinder, diesel
D = 2.5l, 4 cylinder, petrol
F = 200 Tdi & 300 Tdi (2.5 Liter, 4 cylinder, Turbor Diesels)
G = 2.25l diesel & Freelander V6
H = 2.25l petrol
M = 3.9 liter V8 (injection)
P = 2.6l 6 cylinder, petrol
V = 3.5l V8 petrol (carburettor)
Y = 2 liter T16 petrol
Z = 3.9 liter Izuzu diesel
3= 4.2 V8 petrol (injection)
8 = Td5


i am actually kind of worried that my insurance details are not correct if i have entered the engine variant wrongly !

ah - just found out it's the 2.4Ltr Puma - but for some reason the lists i was looking at don't have that option on them so it must be old lists i am looking at probably. So ignore me now and 'Hello' everyone !
