Hi.
I've owned a Land Rover Defender 110 DCPU for 2 years now and i'm totally in love with it!
Land Rovers have been in my family for approx 25 years and you just can't beat em.
I have a query though and i was wondering if anyone can help. I've had conflicting information on the size of tyres i'd like to fit to my landy.
I'm currently running on 265x75 R16 tyres on Land Rover Boost alloys.
I've been reliably informed that i can happily go up to 285x75 R16 BFG Mud terrain tyres without modifying the vehicle and just have a wider turning circle.
However i've also been informed that fitting 285x75 R16 BFG Mud terrain tyres could be dangerous (any side pressure and they could come off the rims!) and will also catch the rear wheel arches?
Does anyone have the above wheel and tyre combo already?
Your help is appriciated as forking out £650 on tyres is alot of money!!
Many thanks in advance.
Gareth.
