Hi All
I do not have a landy but am thinking about it. At present I have a Citroen Relay van which I have fitted out to carry my 4 dogs and camping gear as I take them to Obedience Shows.
There are several questions I have concerning the economics of owning and using a landy, reliablity and costs of repairs and serviceing.
I have in mind a 110 station wagon with a 300 td engine of about 10 year vintage with about 60 - 80,000 on the clock. Annual milage is about 12000 and it would be my only means of transport. As I need the rear space I would take out the back seats and fit my dog cages. I also take a small fold down caravan which would be no problem.
Any comments please.

Welcome to loonyzone. I hope you are used to a bit of **** taking. If not, TOUGH.:p

What you are intending to buy and do is fine. You should be expecting to get about 30mpg from it. Watch out for rotten rear crossmembers. 300tdi station wagons seem to hold their prices better than most. Watch out cos the bottom is dropping out of the market a bit at the moment.

Hello agin
My dorgs are all Border Collies and range from 13.5 years to 6 years.
I did have a magentic sign which I put on the side of the van with a piccy of a BC and the words Doggin Again. Some **** nicked it before I could take off when I got home. I didn't know what doggin was then (honest).
I live in Norfolk btw.

Ello Dogman. Went to see a border collie today at a re-homin centre. He was perfect! Perfectly obsessed wi tennis balls! Top dogs is Borders.;)
