Hello All (free Fender 110 bits)

I finally managed to sign up after lurking and learning things for the past month or so.

Im right in the middle of a 110 county rebuild and have plenty of bits for free if anyone is interested in some useful things:

PS defender rebuilds should be madatory for todays young uns to gain some skills and work ethic!

Then ask permission from the admins to advertise it for free in the appropriate place. There are rules for a reason.

Understood, and apologies, just I figured rather than spam you with x50 post of nonsense and dribble just in order to post in the classifieds I would take this route.

My suggestion is extra verification to new members in order to post in classifieds, something simple as you mentioned - a message to a mod/admin or sms verification.

IMO it is pretty obvious when something is malicious and when it isnt, but I do follow your reasoning.

There is a "contact us" link at bottom of page, where one can make such a request. Established members & contributors do get justifiably ****ed when people appear on here & immediately try to sell something - absence of malice notwithstanding.

And the criteria is a min of 50 meaningful posts.. That reading thing again!

50 posts rule has worked very well as it stops flyby tat selling and forum lumbered with fallout.

Try 50 posts of garbage and selling and your get jettisoned

From experience on other forums min post restrictions do cause a lot of nonsense postings, so they are combined with time restrictions, or users are required to have a certain amount of their post marked as useful or insightful by other members before privileges are released.

As mentioned Ive been here a while and only really signed up to get rid of some useful bits, one person trash is another persons treasure.... otherwise I would have kept on lurking. So in this case it would be 50 useless post regardless - Im here to gain knowledge, Im not at the point where I can offer knowledge that other people are interested in.

Should lurkers be punished ??? :frown:

You've used LZ to help yourself to others experience.....no problem with that though it's nice to think that at some point visitors will sign up and put a little something back into the forum.

You could try and claim that's just what you've done and if you were offering parts free or very cheap to LZ members then you'd have a fair argument.

But what you've ACTUALLY done is used LZ to advertise for free your fleabay listing, putting any of us interested in direct competition with the rest of the Landy world an more importantly EACH OTHER! with the hope of increasing your personal monetary gain.

You flout Forum rules and advertise a Fleabay listing in your first post here then justify it as 'giving something back' to LZ. You whine about being 'punished', and then you make smart-ass comments when an Admin politely tries to explain it for you?

Can I request that you post my stuff as a freebie, it needs to go, I live at a Grade 2 house and cant keep it on the drive (neighbours will complain) and would rather it go to someone who finds it useful than to the scrap yard.
