And Happy New Year to you and all the other Landy Zone folk.
Just back from New Year's Eve at the pub probably about the time all of you Brits are tucking into a full English breakfast!
(8 hour time difference here in the Pacific time zone)

Of those three it's most likely to be the pump.
Good luck!
Hi Rich , quick update on the pump change over yesterday. No change !!! It is the rack that’s on its way out . Gutted springs to mind , even the mechanics thought it was the pump . Thanks for all your input much appreciated.

That's a bad break Pingboy. Hoping your Hippo isn't a V6 as the rack is really well hidden on those! :(
Hi Rich , going off the garage it’s a case of dropping the subframe and swapping the rack . They can get a reconditioned rack for around £210.00 ( not sure what the Canadian dollar is to the £ ) around $ 400 . Total bill when done around £425 . At least I did go the cheapest parts first , New cam belt , tensioner, pas pump and reservoir. Should be good for a few years to come . Will let you know later this week when it’s sorted . Thanks for your time and replies during this last few weeks .Much appreciated.

when we first bought our FL2 everything seemed fine but after a couple of days we got the tight steering, the garage replaced the reservoir flushed the system and changed the pump all on different days, in the end they chaanged th rack and that fixed it, they said they rack had been contaminated over time by weld slurry breaking of the splines.
