heater problems

hi all,my mate has a 4.6 2001 his heater blows cold when he stops,and will only warm up again(to a good temp)when on the move then cold again when he stops,any ideas(he has no comp or he would ask himself).

"Hi Yella, thanks for calling me a.........."Isthat how LZ started, I wonder. A bit like the transportation years whisking folk off on a kind of ASBO to Australia ? Yep, sorry about that. The banter on this forum has evidently passed you by. My post is irelavent to your problem. An aspersian cast on the irreverant exchanges amongst the gurus of Land Rover Zone. As it happens I've experienced many a purging problem and I've fitted a bleed off valve at the highest point for filling. It helps if the A/C thing is calling for heat when at the final filling stage, I find. This forum is absolutely riddled with cooling system posts. Good luck.

When I've survived 12,057 posts unscathed, I might be alittle more direct. Little easy going,aren't you, today. Is it me, or is LZ taking on an air of calm these days?
